The salmon season runs form 1st February to 30th September with small runs of large spring salmon, averaging ten pounds in weight, from Mid March through to May.

Ballynahinch is traditionally a summer fishery with the main run of grilse appearing in late June and fresh fish running until the end of the season.

• Grilse average six to seven pounds in weight and up to nine pounds in late in the season.
• Sea-trout fishing from early June until the end of July.
• Stocked rainbow-trout fishing in Killeen lake on the estate
• Wild trout and sea-trout fishing available from drift boat in the Lower Ballynahinch Lake.
