Fly fishing at Longparish Estate is a truly wonderful experience. Fly Odyssey has access to several stretches of private estate water at this most famous chalk stream fishing location.
The gin clear water flows over waving beds of ranunculus and gravel holding wary Brown Trout and Grayling.
The estate has approximately three quarters of a mile of fast riffles and slow runs and you won’t be disappointed in either the fishing or the location.
The fishing is spread out around the estate allowing you plenty of time for solitude and an array of possibilities on the different sections for your special day.
The estate offers days for a minimum of five rods and has a charming fishing lodge perfect for corporate entertaining.
Charming accommodation at Watership Down Inn, in Laverstock, ten minutes from the beat with dinner/bed and breakfast packages. Fishermen's picnics available. Superb evening meals and location.
Bed & Breakfast is also available at Yew Tree Cottage in the village of Longparish very closely situated to the fishing and there is a range of different types of accommodation in the town of Winchester which is about a fity-five-minute drive.

The beat opens for fishing from 9:00am.
Opens 1st May and closes 30th September.
There are stocked Brown Trout from two pounds in weight, wild Trout and the occasional Grayling.
The water is classic chalk stream fishing on the Upper Test, with easy to sight-fishing and a variety of casting challenges but nothing that is too taxing.
The banks are mown and there are several classic chalk stream huts dotted around the estate.
As per all Fly Odyssey bookings, you will be provided with a comprehensive and detailed pre-trip fly fishing guide.
The Upper Test is approximately a one-hour and thirty minutes' drive from central London with easy access from the main motorways.
The rail service from London Waterloo to Winchester is continuous throughout the day and takes
approximately an hour.
Taxi service from Winchester to the beat takes about twenty five minutes.
Guides can also collect you from Winchester train station.
